Leigh should be home in the next few hours so that he can be here for Lily's 4th Birthday Party tomorrow evening. Lily Catherine will be very excited to see her Daddy. Both little girls have missed their Papa terribly.
Leigh plans to return to Liesl's side on Monday. In the meantime, Leighton, Terra Leigh, and Ernie will continue to visit with her and tend to her.
More information will be posted as it becomes available.
We continue to thank God for all of your cards, notes, gifts, support, and prayers!

Glad to hear Leigh will be home soon! Now, you were asking what the doctor was talking about concerning leisl's eyes. Well, the eye that is reactive from 3-5 means that the eye is reacting to a bright (pen) light, this is done as a neurological assessment tool. The pupil size can vary from pinpoint(one sees very little of the pupil and plenty of the Iris) or also ranked as 1 mm (mm means millimeter)to a 10 mm which is very dilated, the pupil is so dilated at this point one sees more pupil, than the Iris. The normal pupil is 2-3mm. So, it appears for now that one of Leisl's eyes is near normal.
CPP means Cerebral Perfusion Pressure which means in layman's terms, the blood flow pressure to the brain. Yes, Leisl's CPP number is good. The norm is 60-90 mmHG (millimeters per Mercury-the silver metal found in the old styled blood pressure meters.).
Sharon Holmes,
Licensed Practical Nurse
Lynne Marie,
Sara, Faith and I continue to pray for Liesl's recovery. In your previous blog you aksed about one of her pupils being dilated. According to what I have learned in nursing school; one dilated pupil and one normal could indicate a compressed cranial nerve (III, or the oculomotor nerve). As the pressure decreases that should improve. Again, that is just an educated guess.
Sara and I are in a wonderful Sunday school class, and we will share this with them tommorrow morning. They are all loving people and their prayers will be forthcoming as well.
With God's Love,
Keith Doll
We are all praying for Liesl's recovery. Take care of yourselves.
